"When you approach God in stillness and in trust, you are strengthened -you must not let your senses dominate your thinking." -Jesus Calling
Today wraps up a pretty tough two weeks. I’ve spent most days horizontally.
This protocol involves several harsh oral medications including the “finger paint” and “death juice” as well as five IV bags each antibiotic day. I have been dealing with a constant nausea, stomach issues, exhaustion, and a good amount of pain. Mom did a bandage change, but my skin is very sensitive blistering and bleeding, so this weekend we are going to try a new type of bandage with hopes for a better response with my skin. This next week will be my "off" week. Often times patients say off days or weeks can be even more difficult, I am hoping I will get a bit of a break and some solid rest.
A few pockets of joy from this week include some of my flowers on the porch are blooming and there is a wren’s nest with several eggs. Furthermore, because I spend most time in my bed or my chair by the window, there are a few kiddos in the neighborhood who have been riding their bikes. One of the kids always rides without holding on. Today I saw two of the boys riding bikes without holding on, brought a smile to my face.
I will have an additional second cycle and a half before going back to the doctor. Please be praying for me with this protocol making me feel so rotten. Also, I am having a flare of a painful chronic condition with my legs. Thank you for praying for all the mentioned and un-mentioned things.
