One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn't do. ~Henry Ford~
I finished my first aggressive oral antibiotic protocol. I am pleasantly surprised at how well I did with it. I had moderate nausea especially during the evenings. My migraines are more frequent. I had some digestive pain and issues, but again I made it through without feeling like death!
The first week was more tough than the second week, but thankfully I was able to attend my family Christmas events on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with minimal sickness.
During the first week of treatment, I damaged my suprapatellar bursae, making it
difficult and painful to walk, sit, or stand. I am now seeing improvements from my knee to which I am so grateful.
The second week I had mild nausea and tiredness. I was even forced to take a couple naps. I am really hopeful that doing IV for so long has set me up to do better with orals.
I have a phone appointment with the specialist the second week of January. Hoping to get a good report and a vision for how the next couple of months will go with treatment.
Thank you all for your sweet encouragement, prayers, and support throughout treatment. I wish you a very happy New Year!
