Survived a Pretty Rough Two Weeks, But I Made It. February 6-12 Update

The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore.

“It can’t get any worse than…”

Apparently, yes it can!!! This week, aside from a few nights during treatment, has been by far the most painful and left me the sickest of all the protocols! Monday and Tuesday were the worst. On Monday, I woke up as sick, feeling as poorly as I do at the end of the night on “kill zone” weeks. Needless to say, I was very ill Monday and Tuesday. As the week continued to fold, I stayed pretty sick. The bedtime IVs seemed to be haunting me in the mornings when I woke up. I had one IV that left a bad taste in my mouth, which made it difficult to drink water.

By Tuesday, I was overwhelmed and pretty emotional. I think that with just getting over Covid and still dealing with pneumonia, my body was in overload overload(yeah, that’s two overloads haha). I also think, although I had didn’t get a break, Lyme had a break from all the medications for multiple weeks and once I started back to the protocol for treatment, Lyme was very angry. I definitely felt the wrath of that of that anger.

I had a few appointments via phone and video chat this week that went well. I have another appointment with my reflexologist. I think these appointments will be a great help with detoxing.

This next week will be lighter than these last two weeks have been. I am looking forward to “rest and recovery” next week, as best I can.

I am also looking forward to my younger brother and his wife coming up for the weekend. I hope I will be well enough to hangout and make a couple great memories.

A few pockets of joy in this treacherous week include being able to take a few naps(you know it was tough if I actually took a nap/naps), Nikki coming over for a visit with an awesome homemade gift, the birds becoming more active out my window, the crocus blooming, and making Valentine’s Day cards for my nieces and nephews.

Speaking of Valentine’s, the Love a Lymie Challenge begins on February 14. We do not have as many signed up for the challenge as hoped. Feel free to let me know if you want to join in or have any questions.

There is a fun contest coming up, as well as new information coming your way about fundraising and upcoming events.

I will be heading back to D.C. in two weeks. I am hoping to get more direction and for a good report.

Thanks for those who continually support me in so many ways!

Please be praying for:

*Successful detoxifying from all the meds the last two weeks

*My body to get stronger as treatment continues

*Sleep, lots of sleep

*Continued healing from pneumonia

* Energy to get a few things in my room organized

*Funding to come in to help pay for treatment

*That people who want to or be able to join in a couple fundraisers going on/coming up

*Continued awareness of the blessings at hand and the presence of God in the good moments and then hard moments.

Thanks again for everything and for reading my post, encouraging all on its own.
