But those who wait for the LORD [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired. Isaiah 40:31

Finishing up week 2 of treatment month 2.

Antibiotic days are tough, they make me feel kind of awful, but that’s how this works.

Wednesday I woke up with a migraine and eye pain. Dad got me hooked up. Made it through the finger-paint meds, which are definitely gross. I cooked another batch of okra, some pan fried avocado, and homemade hummus. Mom made sweet potato pancakes again. They are gluten free, vegan, and sugar free (they do have local honey though) and quickly becoming a staple for me.

Thursday was insane. I had blood work done early and went straight to my dermatologist appointment. I had a mole removed. Next, I had to get all the am meds in, including two new added oral antibiotics, and get hooked up to my ringer before counseling started. The last two Thursdays I have been doing my LR bag during counseling which seems to work out well. I was so very exhausted by evening, but my IV nurse wanted me to have some tests done at urgent care. So, mom drove me to urgent care. I was there for a little while. After urgent care, even though it was late, I had to get an Epsom soak in. Unfortunately, even with an early morning, the night ended with refilling my meds into the early am hours.

Today went through like Wednesday. I will be happy when I am not taking the second IV antibiotic bag because it makes me feel worse and the taste wont go away. My skin is really irritated around the bandage and any coverings. In fact, some of my skin is scabbing over from where its been bleeding. Today my skin has started blistering. Really hoping it will heal soon. I did get a nap late this afternoon, which a big plus!

Overall, I’m trucking along. I have had a lot more anxiety and stress because I am taking so many meds all so many separate times of the day. Treatment is wiping me out every day and I need more rest time throughout the day. My sleep is off despite so many efforts, which throws off my morning starting IV bags. But I am always still working toward getting things done in a timely manner.

I am looking forward to the weekend. I am hoping to get a few things accomplished and rest as well.

Sunday from 2-pm, at The Station, in Mocksville, NC there is a benefit show going on to help raise funding for this treatment. Please help spread the word and I hope to see you there.

Things to be praying for:

-Endurance

-Early sleep at night so I can get up early in the morning to start IV bags on time.

-Rest during the day.

-Relief during the painful & sicker times.

-Healing & resilience for my VERY irritated, painful, blistered skin

Thanks for all the love and prayers.
