"She holds them to her heart
Keeping them where they'll be safe
Clasped within her very marrow
Dandelions in a vase" -FIF
Today, and every day, I honor my Mother.
She is an amazing woman. I cannot imagine being Mother because she has had to endure such great trials and tribulations, carry her precious children so many times. She has been so steadfast throughout all these times.
Times where her children have lived in different states, even different countries. Times when her children have almost died. She has poured her life out to give us everything. She has prayed, petitioned, and cried over us all, saturating our lives so richly. In such a big way, I can say with confidence, that all her children have turned out to be amazing upstanding humans.
She was always available to talk from childhood to adulthood. She drove us around from one sport to another, one band concert to another dance class. My Mom always had so many creative ways of celebrating her kiddos. She strove to make things special for each of us, to share how much she loved all four of us.
She instilled in me the love of the Father’s heart and the fervor in which to seek Him. Its pretty tough being an adult, a sick adult child, in your parent’s house and care, but even in the friction, I am so close to my Mom. I cannot imagine going through this without her. She truly holds all of her children like precious flowers “to her heart. Keeping them where they’ll be safe. Clasped within her very marrow, dandelions in a vase."
I love you Mom.
You are home to me.
