"If You walked out of the grave, I'm walking too." Molly Skaggs

Today Mom and I had a six hour appointment at the Lyme Specialist office.

The first half of the appointment involved an intensive training for mom with the infusions, flushes, and changing the dressing. Each step is very specific. Mom did excellent!

While the training was taking place I did my first medication trial. It went really well, but some time after it was through I got really sick suddenly. Thankfully, I had no allergic reactions, just severe nausea. Looks like anti-nausea meds will be my best friend over this next year. For the second mediation trial, we slowed the drip rate, had heavier food prior to and a snack during, as well as drank a lot of fluids during and right after, which seemed to make a big difference.

Following the training, the Specialist came in. We discussed many things going on. He told me about additional things that my body is exhibiting and going through. I continue to have a great deal of inflammation, especially in my brain and spinal cord. I will continue all the normal oral medications and add some Neuro creams. The entire staff are so kind and patient, especially with all our questions as we learn about treatment. I am sure with more experience things will become second nature to us.

After the appointment was over today, we (mom) carried the load of supplies back to the hotel. I had a snack and knocked out asleep for three hours.

I have been having a migraine in my left eye all day and some stomach pains. I also, had a difficult time sleeping last night with getting comfortable. The insertion site is very tender currently, but within a week should be healed completely. Because we are leaving DC tomorrow morning, please be praying for travels that I will be able to rest, get comfortable, and have minimal nausea.

Next week we begin treatments. This is a big unknown for all of us, please pray for us as we navigate this new journey. God is so faithful. He has brought us this far and I know He is guiding us as we take these next steps.

Thank you for the love and all your prayers.
