Just got back from my DC appointment. The drive up and the appointment went well, surprisingly so. Normally, I am super sick, and I was only “normal” sick during the drive. At the appointment on Wednesday, I tried a new IV medication and once again, surprisingly, I didn’t get deathly sick. I did get pretty nauseas and later during the appointment, I got randomly exhausted and started herxing. But I am still amazed the medication wasn’t worse. Thank you, thank you so much for praying for me, it definitely made a difference.
In addition to the trial antibiotic, there were many things discussed and examined. The Specialist was not pleased with the amount of pain and persistent issues. As a result, I have a few new diagnoses, which leaves me with several new steps, new medications, and new practices to implement. Additionally, because each appointment is packed full of information and a lot to take in, I have a few things to process and chew on over the next few days.
This next protocol will be seven weeks long. I will be on IV antibiotics five straight weeks and then have two weeks off. This will be the longest treatment time in a row without a
break. I am exhausted and dealing with new flares, especially after the drive home. I am going to try to get some rest over the next few days before the new protocol starts on Monday.

*Things to be praying for over the weekend:
-Worsening and swelling associated with erythema nodosum
-Getting organized, obtaining supplies & medications, and ready for new protocol Monday
-Relief from persistent physical pain
-Rest
-Coping with the weight of it all
Thank you for your continued prayers and to those checking in.
