Central Line Placement Day

"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end." -Semisonic

Today the central line was placed in my chest. The insertion went well. I had amazing nurses and doctors. After we left the facility was bleeding that compromised the bandage. The top two medical issues associated with a central line is blood clotting and infection. Because the seal was no longer intact, we had to go back to the vascular center to stop the bleeding and change the dressing.

All is well, no worries.

On the way to the hotel we briefly passed by the cherry blossoms and some sites.

I am sore and exhausted. My main pain is in my neck/jugular area and the site, especially under my collarbone. I've got some mobility pain and on and off headache. I haven't slept much the last two nights, but I am doing ok.

Tomorrow I go to my specialist office. There my mom and I will have a three hour intensive training with the site and all things treatment. Following that, we see the specialist to test medications to check for any adverse reactions. This will probably be a longer day than today with challenges.

Thank you to those who have been checking in, praying for me, and even posted pics/sent pics of Lymie shirts.

Please be praying for sleep tonight, that I can get comfortable and actually sleep. Also, pray for my neck/jugular area, that I'll be headache free tomorrow, and that the med trials will go well with minimum reactions.

Again thank you for all the support. We are now on a new journey towards healing and freedom.
