“Nobody has the power to take two steps together, you can make only one step at a time.”
― Osho.
I just finished another treatment protocol which went well. This time around
was a little more difficult on my physically. I was much sicker over the first week this time. One night it got pretty bad, where I couldn’t sit up. Thankfully, Mom helped me out that night to get meds together and a ginger ale.
One the second week I did alright. The second day, I was wiped out by treatment, spending most of the day in the bed. It was hard to be down and out for the day, but overall, I am finding I tolerate the oral treatment much better after the extended aggressive IV treatment.
Outside of treatment weeks, I have been testing the waters as to what I am able to do. One thing I have been doing consistently is stretching. I am trying to take baby steps that will lead to bigger things, ie stretching now so that I can do physical therapy and water work in the future. I am also working on walking to the mailbox daily. It may sound like such a little thing, but for me these are actually huge steps. My joints are definitely affected by these things but I am just taking things as they come and allowing for rest and recovery as needed.
An exciting thing that happened this month is my egroup helped me make valentines for the elderly. A huge praise report is we were able to make 107 valentines to bring joy and love to the elderly. When I dropped them off at the nursing home, they were so delighted.
Another fun thing for me this month was my older brother came to visit shortly last weekend with one of my nieces. I was able to watch the kids ice skate. My family played games (I mainly worked on making the valentines.) I was able to make it to church in person with my family and go out to eat afterward. Unfortunately, because of all the fun, I did crash Sunday afternoon. But it was all worth it for time with family.
I have been trying to cook a little more and have been enjoying the new recipes. It’s not easy to stand for long amounts of time but getting some good food options has been worth it for sure. I’ve also enjoyed the crocus and daffodils starting to bloom lately.
I really think 2023 is going to be a huge year of growth and new things for me. I will be honest I am nervous about what is in store for me, but I am also excited!
My next protocol starts at the end of February. Until then I will be continuing with my stretching and steadfast detoxing. I do still have my port and do a lactated ringers daily to help with hydration and detox.
Thank you so much to those who are still supporting me through your prayers and financially. I feel the prayers surrounding me and appreciate any financial giving because it helps so much with the cost of medications. Thank you so very much.
Be praying for my body as I test the waters, especially my joints, headaches, and reactions to Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Also, be praying for increase in stamina. Lastly, please be praying that God will open up doors for opportunities I am pursuing.
Again, thank you so much for making this journey with me.
